One of my biggest struggles with this project... as I knew it would be... is the stop-and-start-and-stop-and-start nature of construction. Oh, the joys of city inspections... Last week didn't allow for much progress, as the city has sent three different inspectors out, who all require different things in order to move forward with concrete pours in the back. But I think we're really close...
I walked the property with our contractor (Edgar) this weekend, with his framer. We're reviewing little things, getting to the nitty-gritty... which is really exciting. He plans to take advantage of nice weather this week and push forward with the house structure, while we're finalizing the concrete stuff outside. A new dumpster has been delivered this morning, and more demo will take place this week to make way for new framing. Stay tuned... I think it's about to get exciting again! (I'm super excited to see framing, as it'll really start to feel like our layout.
